Brief description:

This tour is a great option for people with little time in Cusco, you can visit some incredible places in one day. We will see colonial town, the textile Inca, agricultural production, and Valleys. Maras is the home of the Salt Mines that have been around since the Incas, and to this day Moray remains an Archaeological site that is made up of several circular platforms located at 3,500m.

Day 1:

Cusco - Maras Moray - Salt Mines - Cusco

We will collect you from your hotel at 8.00am and begin our tour to the Northeast of the City of Cusco.

During your tour we will observe impressive landscapes such as; snow peaked mountains of Salkantay and Veronica and the plains of Maras - where much of the food for the Cusco population comes from.

First we will visit the Archaeological Centre of Moray, this place is known as a centre of experimentation and investigation of agricultural products in the Inca Empire. They are circular terraces that measure 150m deep.

Continuing with our tour we will visit the town of Maras, here you can appreciate the magnificent colonial architecture in the local constructions.

Finally, we visit the Salt Mines (Salineras) where there are more than 3200 wells of Salt. The local people still continue to extract the same salt the Incas extracted for human consumption.

At the end of our tour our transport will take us back to your hotels in Cusco.
