Tour to Qeswachaka (Inca Bridge) Full Day

Is the Best Full Day Tour Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge, is unique and out of the traditional excursions in Cusco. It is the only one left in Perú and is a great cultural heritage of our ancestors. Qeswa = plant fiber braid and Chaka = bridge which means plant fiber bridge. During the Inca empire time, there were more than 40 thousand kilometers of trails, and the main one was called Qhapaq Ñan (path of the nobility). These allowed the best administration of the empire and the tunnels and bridges that were necessary to cross the rugged geography of the Andes were built, especially hanging bridges made of vegetable fibers to cross rivers. Currently, there is a single bridge that has been renewed annually for more than 500 years; using rituals and complex ancestral knowledge. The restoration is carried out every year (From June 1 to June 5) together by the 4 communities that are located around the Q'eswachaka bridge: Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Choccayhua and Ccollana Quehue, all of them belonging to the province of Canas, Cusco.
