1° Day: Lima – Cusco

When you arrival in the City of Cusco our staff Peruvian Paths and Adventures will be waiting for you at the airport and then take you to your chosen hotel. At the hotel, you will be greeted with the typical coca tea for acclimatization. Our staff will help you check in and give you all the information about your trip and recommendations such as: Banks, Restaurants, Exchange Houses and others. Finally have a free afternoon to rest and acclimatize.

Optional: Presentation of typical Andean music and dances at the Qosqo Native Art Centre (6:30pm to 8.00pm) The entrance ticket is included in the package.

2° Day: Cusco - Sacred Valley Vip - (Super Valle) - Cusco

Breakfast at the Hotel

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 06:30 a.m. and 06:55 a.m. to begin our journey to the north of the region. Our first stop is at the Chinchero Archaeological Center, where we will stop at a local community to discover the Textile Interpretation Center. Then, we will visit the Moray Archaeological Site, known as the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, and continue the trip to the Salt Mines to explore its famous Salt Mines. Later, we will head to the town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch that combines the best of Peruvian and Andean cuisine. After lunch, we will go to the Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, formerly an Inca dairy farm and starting point to Machu Picchu. Here, we will immerse ourselves in history by exploring its iconic stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun and the fountain of the Princess Baths. On our way back to

 

 Cusco, we will make a stop in Pisac. We will ascend to the majestic archaeological Site built on the top of a mountain. Upon descending, we will have the opportunity to visit its vibrant artesanal market, where local expert artisans offer unique pieces. The day will culminate with our return to Cusco, around 19:00 p.m. to 19:30 p.m.

3° Day: Cusco – Machu Picchu Full Day - Cusco

Breakfast at the Hotel

You will be picked up from your hotel very early in the morning around 4.30a.m. and we will head to the train station at Ollantaytambo for our train departure at 6.20a.m. We board the Expedition train and go to the town of Aguas Calientes and arrive at 8.00a.m. Here on arrival your professional English/Spanish-speaking guide will be waiting for you to drive to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We will take a short bus ride to the Machu Picchu complex, where we visit the incredible architecture and the mysterious temples left by the Incas. Your guide will help you to understand the sophisticated ideas and technology of this highly advanced culture.

If you still have energy, you can also climb the mountain of Machu Picchu (which means Old Mountain) at 3000m.or 9840 fee It takes about one hour and a half to get to the top ($70.00 USD - optional) the other option to visit the Huayna Picchu Mountain takes around one hour depending on your fitness. The Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu 2667m. Or 8751 Fee ticket reservation is 3 months in advance and is only for over 12 years of age ($70.00 USD - optional)

Once the official tour is over, we will have enough time to visit the Puerta Del Sol - Sun Gate, or explore the Sanctuary on our own before returning to Cusco by train in the afternoon.

The suggested time to descend from Machu Picchu to the city of Aguas Calientes is 1.00pm. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before the departure of the train.

4° Day: Trekking to Rainbow Mountain – Cusco

Breakfast at the Hotel

The adventure begins very early at 04:30 a.m, and then we go by car for an average of 3 hours south of Cusco. Then we will go to the picturesque town of Pitumarca, south of the city of Cusco. Here we enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast in local Restaurant and we will buy some of the necessary items for our walk, such as water, snacks, etc. Afterwards, we will continue on the road until we reach a dirt road that crosses the mountains and passes through traditional villages and fertile valleys. After this short stop we continue our trip where we observe the multicolored landscapes and the crops that are mixed between the mysterious and snow-capped mountains. See Andean animals such as the llama, alpaca, sheep, vicuñas and also the deep valleys. If it is a clear day, we will be able to see the snowy Ausangate, which is the highest in the province of Cusco at 6,384 masl or 20,945 feet. We arrive at the picturesque town of Chillca which is our starting point for the trek. We will start trekking from 4,350 masl (14,271 ft) and it will take around 1.5 hours to reach the top. This walk is short and gradual, but due to the height we will go slowly and enjoy the view of valleys and mountains, and also herds of llamas and alpacas. We will finish the climb when we reach the top of Cerro Colorado, which is 4,980 meters above sea level (16,338 feet). This incredible mountain has beautiful colors including red, orange, yellow,

green and purple which are various minerals. You have the option to climb another 50 meters (164 feet) up to take photos with a panoramic view, and when we are ready we will return the same way. We will go down for an average of 1 hour and we will arrive at the vehicle to return to Cusco. On the way we will have Buffet lunch at the local restaurant, and continue to Cusco where we will drop you off at your hotel around 4:30 p.m.

5° Day: Trekking to Humantay Lake – Cusco

Breakfast at the Hotel

Our pick up will start from 04:00 to 05:00 in the morning, and after a 3-hour trip, while enjoying the views of the exuberant valley of the Apurímac River, we will arrive for breakfast in the town of Mollepata after a brief stop. After breakfast we will continue our trip for an hour and a half by car, the road we will take is dirt (trail) until we reach the community of Soraypampa which is located at an altitude of 3900 masl. Or 12792 feet. During the trip we will observe beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped "Salkantay". From Soraypampa we will undertake a 2 km (1.3 miles) hike. The path is ascending and will take us about an hour and a half to two, while we hike we will see a panorama of snow-capped mountains, impressive natural landscapes

 

and a great diversity of flora and fauna until reaching the "Laguna de Humantay" which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level. Or 13776 feet. The "Laguna Humantay" is turquoise in color due to the mineral found at the bottom, the lagoon is fed by the glaciers of the mountain and is considered a jewel of nature and Sacred Lagoon, in addition to delighting in the Humantay lagoon we can enjoy of the impressive views of the mountains that surround it. We will walk down until we reach the community of Soraypampa where we can enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch we will start the return trip to the city of Cusco. Our tour ends at approximately 5:30 in the afternoon.
